Ally & James | Engagement
Ally & James will be getting married in October and I am excited to be documenting their big day! Below you will find some of my favorite photos from their engagement session along with their love story...
“James and I not remember the day we first met, however this should not cause any alarm, since we were only six years old. We were in the same first-grade class together, and while I had a crush on James, he only remembered my pink glasses. James moved away after second grade, and when we were old enough to have social media, James and I kept up with one another.”
”Three years ago, I was on a plane home from my family vacation in Boston, MA, and I sat across the aisle from someone I thought could have been James. I secretly texted my family a picture of James's Instagram, in an effort to confirm the resemblance. They dared me to talk to him, and when I didn't, they called me a "chicken" all the way out of the airport. James surprisingly messaged me on Instagram a few weeks after this, and I asked if he had been on my same plane ride. The man across the aisle was not James, but James saw my curiosity as an opportunity to continue messaging me.”
”On New Year's Day 2022, we started dating. I fell in love with his family and he quickly became a part of mine. I became a baseball fan, (though this was a little harder to get the hang of, if you know anything about me) but James knew I was proud of him after every game nonetheless. Long distance is normal for us at this point, but absence makes the heart grow fonder, as they say.”
”The three years we have had together contain many funny, loving, embarrassing, romantic, and goofy stories within them, but there are too many to share here. If you know us, you know we are animated storytellers, so trust me when I say that you want to hear them in person.”
”On November 22, 2023, James asked me to marry him, and I quickly said yes through tears of joy. I am so honored to have the privilege to share those joyful tears with the people I love most on our wedding day. Thank you to all of the people who have played a part in our story. We love you and cannot wait to continue writing it with you”
I loved documenting their engagement session. Their relationship is sweet, energetic, and fun! They said it had been a long time since they got photos done, but if you ask me, I thought they did AMAZING!
