Okay, so picture this: a foggy fall morning at Big Bluff, the kind where the colors are popping, and the whole place feels like a scene from a movie. That’s exactly what Mia and Colton walked into when they hiked down to the bluff for what Mia thought was just a rainy adventure hike!

They headed out first, and I followed a little behind them down the trail. If you’ve ever been to Big Bluff, you know it’s one of the most insane views in Arkansas—massive cliffside, river way down below, and the trail wrapping around the bluff like it's daring you to look over the edge. Which it did — to me at least! Even in the rain, it was beautiful… honestly, maybe even better because everything felt extra moody and dramatic, which I'm not a fan of but the occasion made it all PERFECT!

By the time I caught up, Colton was ready. He found the perfect spot with that unreal view behind them, and dropped to one knee. Mia’s reaction was awesome. Even after the proposal happened, Mia still had no idea I was there for their proposal! Because you know, I was “just a random outdoorsman photographer”.

After the big moment, we started hiking back out, and I snapped photos of them along the trail—holding hands, laughing, slipping a little on wet rocks, just being completely themselves.

Once we got back to the trailhead, we wrapped up with some shots—just the two of them, newly engaged.

Mia and Colton crushed it.. I am truly blessed to have met them. Colton totally orchestrated this whole plan, and I am just stoked he considered me to document this moment! I’m blessed they’re a small part of my life!
